- A couple of days ago I posted a request for info about a
- 19 inch IBM monitor (5081 19). I now know a fair bit about
- it, but I have a couple of questions about connecting it
- to my 1200.
-
- The monitor has a fixed-scan rate of 60Hz and a resolution
- of either 1028x1024 or 1024x768. What I would like to know
- is can I make my 1200 chuck this signal out? Is there a
- monitor driver I can just stick in my devs drawer (which I
- doubt), or could I use something like a custom monitor
- driver program to do this? If so, could anyone recommend
- one? My Microvitec 1438 doesn't worry about that sort of
- thing...
-
- Another thing is that the IBM monitor chucks its sync info
- out on the green data line. Does anyone have any idea how
- I'd wire the Amiga 23-pin video to three BNC connectors?
- I would guess that the Read Green and Blue lines go
- straigt to the appropriate connectors on the monitor, but
- would the sync line just be a connection onto the green
- line??? Help!
-
- BTW, I've been told the cables are RG-59/U type, if this
- helps...
-
- Cheers,
- Dominic
